How to Train a dog to sit

  • Take your dog to the place with less distraction.
  • Show your dog him the treat and make him pay attention. (don’t give the treat)
  • Command your dog to sit in a clear voice. (Repeat the word until he sit’s)
  • He’ll become tired of waiting for the tread and he will sit watching the treat in your hand.
  • When he sits. Tell the command “Sit” and give the treat. Praise him.

Restart the training from first. A day must have a minimum of 2 sessions. Repeat the training days and your dog will learn to sit on command. Give him a treat when ever he Obey’s your command (up to 3 or 4 months). This will make him remember the command for a long time.

After your dog learned to sit move on to teach you dog/puppy the next obedience training – come.
